     James Apjohn was born circa 1712 in Dromlara.1 He was the son of Edward Apjohn of Dromlara and Catherine Tubbs. James Apjohn died on 3 February 1780 in City of Limerick.2
     He was living before 2 February 1742 in Dublin.3 On Feb 2, 1742, James Apjohn of Dublin rented the the lands of Gortnesky and part of Dromlara to John McDonnell. The memorial indicates that the land was rented from William Apjohn late of Kilduff and then of Knicker. The memorial notes that Edward Apjohn was of Drumlara and late of Ballynaclog and that he is the father of James..3 He was living before 1 May 1754 in Dublin.4 On Mar 29, 1754, James Apjohn of Dublin purchased from his uncle William Tubbs part of Ballyhawkish which was known to be the estate of John Shatford of Belan. On May 1, 1754, for a consideration of 70 pounds, sold his one-hald interest in the land to Arthur Lavery..4 He was living before 9 January 1755 in Dublin.5 On Aug 9, 1755, William Tubbs of Gortaclony leased to James Apjohn of the City of Dublin and his nephew the lands of Gortaclony for a term of 21 years..5 He was living before 24 April 1755 in Dublin.6 On Mar 29, 1754, James Apjohn of Dublin along purchased from his uncle William Tubbs part of Ballyhawkish which was known to be the estate of John Shatford of Belan.
