The Apjohns of Pallasgreane

     Catherine Lysaght was born circa 1664 in Coonagh, County Limerick. She was the daughter of Thomas Lysaght and Ellen Burke. Catherine Lysaght married William Apjohn, son of Thomas Apjohn, circa 1685 in Old Pallas, Coonagh, County Limerick. Speaking of Stephen Roche, Burke says that he "took up his abode at Pallas, in the County of Limerick, in the vicinity of his brother-in-law, William Apjohn, esq. He m. Anastasia, elder daughter and co-heir of Thomas Lysaght, esq. (the other co-heir, Catherine, was the wife of Mr. Apjohn)."¹
