     Bridget Cooney was born on 5 May 1854 in County Cork, Ireland.1,2 She married John Day, son of Darby Day and Johanna Murnane, on 13 September 1872 in Marshall County, Illinois, United States; Witnesses for the marriage were John Moloney and Mary Ryan.3,4,5 Bridget Cooney died on 24 December 1929 in East Moline, Rock Island County, Illinois, United States, at age 75.1 She was buried on 27 December 1929 in St. Dominic's Cemetery, Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois, United States.1
     She immigrated in 1857 to New York, New York, United States.2 She appeared on the census of 13 June 1880 in the household of John Day in Saratoga Township, Marshall County, Illinois, United States.6 Bridget Cooney appeared on the census of 5 June 1900 in the household of John Day in Essex Township, Stark County, Illinois, United States.7 Bridget Cooney appeared on the census of 28 April 1910 in Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois, United States; Note that John Day was living with Barney Colgan and working as a hired man.8 She appeared on the census of 3 January 1920 in Toulon Township, Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois, United States.9
