     Jeremiah Day was born on 19 December 1856 in Henry, Marshall County, Illinois, United States.1 He married Johanna Ryan, daughter of John Ryan and Winnefred Ryan, on 29 January 1883 in Camp Grove, Marshall County, Illinois, United States; Standing up for the couple were Matthew and Mary Ryan.2 Jeremiah Day died on 12 April 1932 in Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa, United States, at age 75. He was buried in St. Marys Cemetery, Guthrie County, Iowa, United States; Casket bearers were LeRoy Garrity, Delos Garrity, Francis Garrity, Earl Day, Leo Day and Cleo Day. The Mass was celebrated by Father Murphy at St. Joseph's Church in Jefferson, Iowa.3
