Birth*Nora Keeffe was born in 1804 in Ireland.2
Marriage*She married James Murnane before 1824 in Dromcomogue Township, County Limerick, Ireland
Immigration*Nora Keeffe immigrated on December 18, 1849 to New York, New York. The immigration record lists a "Widow" Murnane accompanying Patrick Murnane and his family. Below the Widow's name is listed Margaret Murnane and Patrick Murnane. Margaret's birth records in Emly indicate that her parents were james Murnane and Nora Keefe. We assume therefore that the Widow listed in this immigration record is Nora Keeffe Murnane.2
Cen-Enum*Nora Keeffe was enumerated on the US Census Population Schedule 1850 of August 7, 1850, Danube Township, at Herkimer County, New York. Nora is living in the household of James Gilder family, probably as a boarder. Right next door, in the household of Isaac Hart is her son Patrick. Nora and her son seem to have gone their own way after arriving in the United States--in 1850, Patrick and his family are living in the western part of the state in Ontario County. There is a possible record for her daughter Margaret in Ontario County in 1850 as well. Their name is spelled Mernon in the index.3
