John O'Dea was born on December 18, 1868 in Boherroe in the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. Godparents were John O'Neill and Hanora O'Neill. He was the son of Thomas O'Dea and Julia O'Donnell. John O'Dea married Johanna Maloney on February 17, 1897 in Kilteely Church, Kilteely, County Limerick. Allicia Callinan and Richard O'Dea were witnesses at the wedding. John O'Dea died in 1943 in County Limerick. He was buried in Kilteely Churchyard, Kilteely, County Limerick.1
