     James Day was born in April, 1892 in Camp Grove, Marshall County, Illinois. He was the son of Jeremiah Day and Johanna Ryan. James Day married Mary Alice Walker on January 26, 1916 in Greene County, Iowa. Witnesses were Daniel Day and Anna Walker.1 James Day died on March 5, 1975 in Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa, at age 82.2 He was buried in St. Mary Cemetery, Greene County, Iowa.2
