Jerald Gower
     Jerald Gower was born on August 5, 1916 in Dawson Township, Greene County, Iowa.2 He married Bernadette Day, daughter of John Jeremiah Day and Carrie Frances Walsh, on September 21, 1939 in St. Joseph Church, Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa. Standing up for Jerry and Bernadette were Leo Day and Margaret Garrity. After their marriage, they moved to the Gower farm near Paton. They lived here for 39 years with Jerry's mother Nora.1 Jerald Gower died on June 19, 2004 in Greene County Medical Center, Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa, at age 87.2 He was buried in Dawson Township Cemetery, Greene County, Iowa.2
