John Lynch

M, b. 1820, d. November 12, 1889
     John Lynch was born in 1820 in County Limerick. He married Bridget O'Dea, daughter of John O'Dea and Penelope Meagher, on March 3, 1840 in Kilteely Church, Kilteely, County Limerick. Witnesses were Thomas and Mary Dea.1 John Lynch died on November 12, 1889 in 99 Bauverie Street, Carlton, Victoria.2
     He and Bridget O'Dea immigrated on June 3, 1841 to Port Phillip, Victoria. John and Bridget arrived on board the Duchess of Northumberland with infant daughter Mary who was born at sea.3 John Lynch left a will on April 2, 1909. Thge will identifies the death date and location although it was not granted until 1909. In his will, John leaves his estate to his "only" daughter Mary and is identified as a carpenter.2
