James Murnane

James Murnane was born circa 1803 in Dromcomogue in the Parish of Emly, County Limerick. He married Nora Keaffe on September 30, 1822 in County Limerick. Witness at the wedding was Thomas Fitzgerald.1 James Murnane died before 1849 in County Limerick. James would have died sometime before his wife and two youngest children emigrated in 1849 with Patrick Murnane and his family.
He witnessed the marriage of Johanna Murnane and Darby Day on February 6, 1842 in St. Ailbe Church, Emly, County Tipperary. The couple were married "in the presence of" James Murnane (Johanna's brother), Patrick Murnane, Johanna's brother and his wife Hannah Adams.1
