The O'Dea Families

     Catherine O'Dea was born on April 18, 1847 in Milltown in the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. Godparents were Laurence Murphy and Margaret Kennedy.¹ She was the daughter of Robert O'Dea and Catherine Collins. Catherine O'Dea married Patrick English, son of Michael English and Mary Birrane, on February 14, 1888 in Donoughmore, County Limerick. It appears that when Catherine married Patrick English, she was living with either her brother Thomas or another family member in Cahernorry. The witnesses at the wedding were Patrick English and Margaret English.²
