     Patrick John Ryan was born on 13 July 1873 in Ballytrasna in the Parish of Pallasgreane, County Limerick, Ireland. He married Margaret O'Dea, daughter of Patrick O'Dea and Margaret Hourigan, on 25 February 1906 in New York, Manhattan, New York, United States.1 Patrick John Ryan died on 15 February 1925 in New York, Bronx, New York, United States, at age 51.
     He immigrated in 1898 to New York, New York, United States.2 He appeared on the state census of 1 January 1915 in New York, Bronx, New York; The family is living at Weiher Court in the Bronx. Patrick is a motorman, Margaret is keeping house, her brother William is a salesman, her sister Bridie is a dressmaker, her brother John is a laborer and the other children are all at home.3 He was naturalized in 1915 in New York, New York.2 He appeared on the census of 17 January 1920 in New York, Bronx, New York.2 A family photo was taken about 1926, soon after Patrick Ryan died. His photo, as well as his daughter Cecelia, who had also died recently as a child, were inserted to complete the family.
