Catherine O'Dea was born on June 3, 1852 in Boherroe in the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. She was the daughter of John O'Dea and Catherine Hayes. Catherine O'Dea married Cornelius English, son of John English and Bridget Clancy, on February 13, 1872 in Dromkeen Church, Dromkeen, County Limerick. Cornelius Clancy and Mary O'Dea were witnesses at the wedding. Catherine O'Dea died on March 26, 1874 in County Limerick at age 21.
