The O'Dea Families

     John O'Dea was born on October 24, 1887 in Milltown in the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. Godparents were William O'Meara and Margaret English.¹ He was the son of Patrick O'Dea and Margaret Hourigan. John O'Dea married Julia Carey on January 27, 1918 in New York, New York. John O'Dea died on January 12, 1958 in New York, New York, at age 70.
     He emigrated on September 6, 1907 from Queenstown, County Cork. The emigration record indicates that Bridget and her brother John originated from Kilteely in County Limerick. He immigrated on September 14, 1907 to New York, New York. John and his sister Bridget arrived in New York on the Celtic originating out of Queenstown (Cobh), Ireland.
