     Daniel Joseph Day was born in March, 1889 in Camp Grove, Marshall County, Illinois. He was the son of Jeremiah Day and Johanna Ryan. Daniel Joseph Day died on November 4, 1958 in Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa, at age 69.1 He was buried in St. Mary Cemetery, Greene County, Iowa.1
     He witnessed the marriage of Mary Alice Walker and James Day on January 26, 1916 in Greene County, Iowa. Witnesses were Daniel Day and Anna Walker.2 Daniel Joseph Day began military service on June 15, 1918 in Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa.3 He ended military service on July 15, 1919 in Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa.3
